FAQ

Frequently asked questions

How long until I see results?

Skin feels softer and more hydrated straight away, and the exfoliator leaves it feeling smoother after the first use. Brightening ingredients such as vitamin C, kojic acid and niacinamide need 4–6 weeks of regular use to show in the look of your skin tone, and peptides need 8–12 weeks. Anything promising faster is overselling.

Which product should I start with?

Start with three steps: the Gentle Rose Cleansing Foam, one serum for your main concern, and a moisturiser. Choose the serum by what you want to change:

Finish with the Anti-Age Day Cream in the morning or the Ceramide Barrier Night Cream in the evening. Add the Brightening Face Exfoliator and eye care once your skin is used to the routine.

In what order do I apply everything?

Morning: cleanse with the Gentle Rose Cleansing Foam, then eye cream, serum, the Anti-Age Day Cream, and sunscreen last. The day cream contains no SPF.

Evening: cleanse, exfoliate two to three times a week with the Brightening Face Exfoliator, then eye cream, serum and the Ceramide Barrier Night Cream.

The Hydrogel Anti-Aging Eye Patches go on freshly cleansed, dry skin for about 15 minutes before the rest of the routine. Eye cream comes before serum because it is made for the eye area; after that, the lightest texture goes on first and the richest last.

Can I use more than one serum?

Yes, two at most. Apply the lightest texture first, which is the Bioactive Prebiotics Jelly Serum, and let each layer absorb before the next. Keep the Vitamin C Brightening Serum for the morning, under sunscreen. The peptide, exosome and prebiotic serums work morning or evening. The Exosome & Niacinamide Serum contains lactic acid, so wear sunscreen on the days you use it.

How often should I exfoliate?

Two to three times a week, not every day. After cleansing, massage the Brightening Face Exfoliator over damp skin for about 30 seconds, avoiding the eye area, then rinse and continue with serum and moisturiser. Kojic acid can make skin more sensitive to the sun, so we suggest using it in the evening and wearing sunscreen the next morning. Skip it on broken, sunburnt or irritated skin.

Do your creams contain sun protection?

No. Neither the Anti-Age Day Cream nor any other L'ESTHETIQ product contains SPF, so finish every morning with a dedicated sunscreen. This matters most on days you use the vitamin C serum, the exosome serum or the exfoliator.

Are your products suitable for sensitive skin?

Most of our formulas contain fragrance (listed as Parfum) or essential oils, so they are not the first choice for very reactive skin. The two fragrance-free options are the Exosome & Niacinamide Serum and the Hydrogel Anti-Aging Eye Patches. The Brightening Face Exfoliator contains menthol and kojic acid, so leave it out if your skin reacts easily. Patch-test anything new on your inner arm for 24 hours. Most product pages list the full ingredients, and we will send the list for any product on request.

Are your formulas vegan?

Twelve of our 13 products are vegan. The exception is the Keratin Intensive Rescue Hair Mask, which is not sold as vegan. Like every cosmetic sold in the EU, none of our products is tested on animals for cosmetic purposes.

What do you offer for hair and body?

Two hair treatments and one body oil. The Rosemary Hair & Scalp Strengthening Oil is a pre-wash treatment for scalp and lengths, used once or twice a week. The Keratin Intensive Rescue Hair Mask replaces your conditioner once or twice a week and helps reduce breakage and split ends. The Omega 6-9 Glowing Skin Body Oil goes on slightly damp skin after the shower. These are cosmetic care products: they do not treat hair loss or make hair grow.

How should I store them?

Cool and dry, out of direct sunlight. Vitamin C especially — heat and light degrade it.

Where are your products made?

In the EU, by certified cosmetic manufacturers. The country of manufacture is printed on every carton.
